Family Christmas letter – 25 December 2021
Psalm 143 v8 (Amplified Bible)
“Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning.
For on You do I lean and in You do I trust,
Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk,
For I lift up my inner self to You.”
I hope that you are keeping well and safe during what continues to be a challenging time. Thankfully we are all well and busy!
Paul and Gloria had their second baby, Eleanor on 5th October. Abigail, now 16 months old, is very active and needs a close eye kept on her all the time.
Anton and Saida moved to stay at the Marriott Residence Inn (London Bridge) for three months when Eleanor was born to help support Paul and Gloria. Given the back-to-back babies they really appreciated our help. Valerie kept the house in between trips to London to help the family. Anton and Saida are now back and our close family are coming to stay with us over Christmas.
After many cancellations during lockdown we finally were able to have a break at Ashburnham Christian Trust (East Sussex) in June. Jannine came for a few days. Paul and Gloria were also in the Hastings/Rye area. We managed to spend some time with them. Ashburnham brought back many memories of Church weekends away.
Jannine moved in August to an apartment for she needed more space to work from home. She is now a high-flying lawyer. Her apartment is quite high up. The night views are magnificent.
On 8th September 2020, a particular page on our website went viral in Southeast Asia. Interestingly, it first became viral on the La Salle Klang Old Boys Association Whatsapp group – where I attended school in Malaysia. We have had 10,230 visitors to our website from Malaysia.
On 5th September 2021, Astro Malaysia did a repeat on their cable network on the life story of Anton’s Grandad BP Nicholas who started one of the first banks in Malaysia (check the BP Nicholas Facebook page for more fascinating stories). Once again, our website went viral.
On a sad note we have heard of too many deaths and some have been in unusual circumstances. The tragedy here is that some of them we knew personally.
This December 2021 also saw the worst flooding in Malaysia since the Great Flood of 1971. Apparently it was the tail end of the typhoon that devastated the Philippines.
To discern what is happening one needs to watch the video by Robin Bullock. This video is very relevant now as the spiritual warfare is brutal. He clarifies what has been happening in some of our churches. Do search for the Robin D Bullock video on YouTube entitled: “[Terrible Vision] Coming Death and Famine”.
May we pray that the New Year 2022 will manifest the soon coming of Jesus Christ.
