Reading for Day 47:

These are short phrases I heard through tapes, CD's, Radio and Television sermons.

The source of these Holy Ghost inspired sayings are attributed to various men and women of God.
Anton preaching the Prophetic Word

Psalm 119:18

Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.

1) Humility is not thinking of yourself less but thinking less of yourself.

2) What can be more inspiring then to tell the world what God The Father has done for you.

3) Worry solves nothing but complicates everything--- so pray, pray and pray.

4) In the Father's House if they pick up the Father's Love then the Prodigals will come back.

( Source Rev.Rob Parsons, who founded the organization, Care for the Family.) "I like this sentence a lot!"

5) On one occasion Archbishop Rowan Williams was asked what was his main thrust of his sermons:

“ Life is hell but God is there !” 2nd August 2007. Heard this on Radio 4.

6) Don’t deny the diagnosis but defy the verdict. Heard this on Premier Christian Radio

7) Some words to meditate on: Spoken by Charles Spurgeon : These words are tremendously relevant for this age!

                                                          A Faith General

We shall never sing Gloria in excelsis except we pray to God De profundis: out of the depths must we cry, or we shall never behold glory in the highest. It is loving prayer. Prayer should be perfumed with love, saturated with love-love to our fellow saints, and love to Christ. Moreover, it must be a prayer full of faith.

8) James O. Fadele, the national spokesperson of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in the USA , says his church’s aim is lofty: “Our goal is to plant churches within 10 minutes’ drive in every developed nation and within five minutes’ walk in every developing nation, until every nation in the world is reached for Jesus Christ our Lord.”

What is the Redeemed Christian Church of God's growth secret? I suspect it has something to do with their commitment to prayer, fasting and faith in God’s supernatural power

Words extracted from the article Fire In My Bones by J. Lee Grady who is the editor of Charisma.

9) Your willingness to forgive is the evidence of your salvation. ( Anton's comments: superb material)

The words of Dr. Derek Stringer. He is the National Director and radio "voice" of Good News Broadcasting ( UK).

10) God always keeps His promises.

11) The more time we spend fellowshipping with God the Father the more we are strengthened to resist satan.

12) At Pentecost the Disciples were transformed from wimps to warriors and mice to men. They became pillars of the Church.( Have you experienced Pentecost?)

13) Prayerless study, prayerless wisdom and prayerless work does not affect the devil. The only thing that disturbs the devil is when you start praying!!!!

14) To grow old without bitterness is the finest gift we can give to humanity.
