The Psalms by Juliana Nicholas
To whomsoever it may concern
Recently Mrs. Juliana Nicholas, a married lay Catholic mother from Malaysia, asked to come to our parish to sing a selection of the psalms that she has written and produced. She concentrates particularly on psalms that speak of God's mercy for all of us.
Like many parish priests I receive many requests from different people and groups to be able to speak at Mass. This request, however, was very different. This was a request to come and sing during Mass. After speaking with Juliana we decided to ask her to sing the psalm at Mass, to sing during the reception of Holy Communion and to sing at the end of Mass for those who wished to stay and hear her.
She has a very beautiful singing voice, very pure and clear. It was very moving to listen to her singing, a true meditation on the words of Sacred Scripture. Her prayerful singing touched the people of the parish. It is rare to have the opportunity to have someone who sings so professionally at Mass. Juliana believes that she has a calling to share the mercy of God through her singing. We found that this is true. The people voluntarily stayed behind after Mass to listen to her. They all said: "When can she come again?" We were so pleased to have invited her to our parish.
If you are thinking of inviting Juliana, I recommend her ministry to you whole-heartedly. You will not be disappointed and it will be something that your parish will remember for a long time to come.
At no point did Juliana ask for money or for a collection. She simply asked for the opportunity to sell her CDs after Mass. People only bought them if her singing moved them. Juliana sold many copies after the Masses in our parish.
Juliana is looking for opportunities to share her love of God with others as a Catholic. It is rare to encounter such a person. Please consider seriously if you could enable her ministry in your parish. You will not be disappointed.

On Saturday 18th September 2010, we attended the much needed Prayer Vigil at Hyde Park, London. Between 8 pm and 8-30 pm, darkness had fallen and most of the 80,000 congregants assembled were on their knees, heads bowed in solemn prayer on the grass in Hyde Park. In devotion and reverence this Hymn was sung, "Lead Kindly Light".
Watch the video pasted above and prayerfully observe on how strong the impartation of the Holy Ghost is. Do check it out and see whether the sweet Presence of the Holy Ghost touches you! You can only know through viewing the video. It surely will, for moments of this nature are very rare.
